About the Event
In the diverse, dynamic and often stressful environment of Silicon Valley, community mediators are helping people resolve conflict, improve communication and reduce litigation. Mediation 2.0 has developed this course to empower you to successfully navigate the joys and challenges of community mediation in this environment.
Instructors Martin Eichner and Roy Gordon are skilled and experienced mediation trainers. Their basic training course is widely recognized for its effective approach. It is engaging and highly interactive, emphasizing small group discussion, role play, demonstrations and practical feedback. The course addresses the behavioral, psychological and emotional situations likely to occur in mediation and it offers tools to successfully work with these
challenges. You will be exposed to the methods, thinking, and skills used by successful mediators, and you will learn how to adapt them to your own unique personality, skills and passions.
This training course meets all the requirements mandated by the State of California for Community Mediators. Participants who attend every session will receive a certificate of completion and will be eligible to apply to mediation programs administered by Project Sentinel.
