Project Sentinel
Day-of-Court Mediation Services
Currently serving Santa Clara County Court
and Stanislaus County Court

Project Sentinel provides mediation to all interested parties in Civil Harassment, Unlawful Detainer, and Small Claims cases. Parties have the opportunity to reach an agreement which may be an enforceable court order once approved by the Court.
Mediation is a voluntary, free, and confidential process to have a supported negotiation to resolve housing conflicts. There is no downside to mediation, a dispute resolution structure that allows you to take control outcomes.
The mediators assigned to your case are highly trained neutral professionals with specific experience and knowledge to help you navigate your concerns.

Parties who can reach an agreement through mediation are often more satisfied with the outcome rather than having a judge decide one way or the other. If no agreement is reached, parties can still proceed to a trial on the same day.

Through Project Sentinel Day-of-Court Mediation Program, not only are participants able to achieve satisfactory results, but the court has less of a burden on their docket, and it also alleviated the burden for the interpreter's office by avoiding a lengthy court-certified interpreted trial.
Each mediation, large or small, has a similar ripple effect with the parties and courts. Even without an agreement, parties are better prepared to state their side of the dispute and have been able to make informed decisions on how to move forward, creating a more streamlined trial process.
