Remote Court Mediation

During the outbreak, we no longer offer in-person mediation in court. Instead, we offer remote mediation and conciliation by phone or video. If you are involved in a pending case in Unlawful Detainer, Civil Harassment or Small Claims Court, please contact us for mediation assistance.

Postponed recruitment and trainings

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, volunteer mediator recruitment for the Palo Alto Mediation Program (PAMP) and the Mountain View Mediation Program (MVMP) are postponed until further notice. If you are interested in joining one of the programs, you can still submit your application to the respective case manager (see directory above).

The annual mediation training in cooperation with Mediate 2.0 is also postponed and will likely take place this fall instead.

Financial Assistance for Tenants

Assistance available to Santa Clara County residents earning less than 80% of AMI with a documented loss of income resulting from COVID-19 due to health, employment, or school/child care closures.


Unfortunately the original funds ran out but eligible households can add their names to an Interest List; and if additional funds become available, these households will be contacted to complete an application. Tenants - Notify your landlord

If you are a tenant in Santa Clara County or a place what has recently passed em emergency ordinance to enact a moratorium on evictions, and your ability to rent is impacted by COVID-19, you need to inform your landlord that you may not be able to pay or partially pay rent during the moratorium.
