Housing Discrimination - How We Can Help

Project Sentinel can help those who have experienced or know someone who has experienced housing discrimination if you call us toll free at (888)324-7468 or email info@housing.org. We are open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm. Although we'd like to know who you are, you can remain anonymous. Talk to one of our Fair Housing Specialists (FHS) at length about your encounter and if our FHS feels you may have a housing discrimination case, she will investigate your allegation, while keeping you posted of her findings. If she finds evidence of discrimination, you have many options open to you. If you were denied housing, you may want Project Sentinel to negotiate for you to move into the unit. Project Sentinel can refer your case to a fair housing attorney for litigation. You can also file with the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development or the state Department of Fair Employment and Housing. Or you may decide to close your case with no action taken. If ever there is evidence, Project Sentinel will educate the landlord about the fair housing laws. All of our investigative services are free.
